2021 Details Update (posted 11/25)
Good news – The Wisconsin Marathon is planning to return to an in-person racing format on May 1, 2021. Our main concern is the safety of all participants, volunteers and staff and we anticipate the event having a bit of a different feel for this coming year.
We expect that we’ll have to implement some changes (more to come later), but we’re confident that our runners will still have an amazing experience. We do not currently know the official number of participants that we will be able to accommodate, so for now, we are only honoring all of the registered entries from the 2020 race that were transferred automatically to 2021. Details on how to update any information from your 2020 registration for 2021 will come soon. As space opens up, we will open registration for newcomers.
Due to the recommendation of the Centers for Disease Control for all events happening within the next eight weeks to not be held, we are heartbroken to announce that the 2020 Wisconsin Marathon will not be taking place on May 2nd.
At this point, the decision has been made to defer all entries to the 2021. Please see this link for all details.

We are runners, too, and it has been a tough week for runners, event directors, and everyone else in the running industry, as well as the world, and we are working on replying to any questions as quickly as we can, just as you are. We appreciate the passion that our registrants have for our event and running, in general.
We do advise reading the following from RRCA regarding running events:
What makes a great race day?
A fun but fast course? ✔
A great atmosphere with friendly faces? ✔
A distance for every kind of runner? ✔
A wonderful surrounding town with great food, shops, and sites? ✔
Cheese, brats, and beer? ✔
